Ans : Typical tenure at sea is 6–8 months, followed by 2 months of compensated leave.

Que 7. What are the salary expectations and progression?
Ans :Bosun: USD 1,000–1,200
After 24 months: NCV 2nd Mate or Class IV Engineer: USD 3,500–5,500
Further advancement to Chief Engineer or Master Mariner: USD 8,500–12,000
